my Approach

As a Registered Somatic Movement Therapist (RSMT), I bring movement and creative arts into therapy for those who want to explore healing beyond words.

Compassionate Awareness

We will practice compassionate awareness together so that you can access your authentic experience, needs, and desires. I will support you in expressing the unbearable, validating your deepest meanings, and making sense of your emotions. I hold space for both brightness and darkness, not from pity, but from empathy and my own lived vulnerability.

Gestalt and AF-EMDR

My clinical foundation is Gestalt psychotherapy, which emphasizes present-moment awareness, mindfulness, and attention to the body, thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors that shape your life. I also use AF-EMDR, a powerful trauma treatment that helps reprocess painful experiences and restore a sense of safety and resilience.

  • Gestalt psychotherapy is a present-moment, body-centered approach that helps you become more aware of what you’re experiencing right now in your thoughts, emotions, body, and relationships.

Instead of focusing only on analyzing the past, we gently explore how patterns show up in your daily life today. By slowing down and paying attention to what’s happening in the moment, you can gain insight, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and discover new choices that support greater authenticity, self-compassion, and wholeness.

Gestalt therapy is especially supportive for people who want to feel more alive, grounded, and connected to themselves and to others.

  • Attachment-Focused Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing or AF-EMDR, is a trauma-informed therapy that helps the brain and nervous system process painful or overwhelming experiences that may still feel stuck.

Using gentle bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements or tapping, we work together to reprocess memories and emotional wounds, especially those rooted in early relationships or attachment experiences. This approach supports healing at a deep level by reducing emotional distress and strengthening a sense of safety, self-worth, and trust.

AF-EMDR can be especially helpful if you struggle with trauma, anxiety, shame, or relationship patterns that feel hard to change, even when you understand them intellectually.

my Mission

My mission is to co-create with you a safe, non-judgmental, and accepting environment where you can explore challenges—relationship struggles, work stress, racial trauma, burnout, or self-worth—and move toward your vision of the life you want.

I believe individuals have a profound capacity to heal. Sometimes, healing requires connection and support. It is my honor to walk alongside you on this journey.
