About me
Psychotherapy, to me, is most effective when it begins with an attuned, warm, and authentic connection. From that foundation, we can work together to treat and transform trauma and emotional pain—often the result of oppression, neglect, relationship ruptures, abuse, or rejection. My passion is helping people recognize that they are already enough, and a gift to the world. I draw from Gestalt psychotherapy, Attachment-Focused EMDR, and somatic movement practices to help you reconnect with your body’s wisdom and create lasting change.
I am a Black queer man, a US Army veteran, artist, and a New York State licensed clinical social worker (license #087926). The guiding principles of my work are rooted in anti-oppressive, justice-oriented, sex-positive, client-centered, collaborative, dynamic, integrative, and holistic values. I especially love supporting Black, Indigenous, people of color, and LGBTQIA+ communities, while welcoming clients from all walks of life who are seeking healing, growth, and connection.
I bring an eclectic educational and professional background to this work: 15 years in the arts as a professional dancer, a graduate degree in clinical social work, and post-graduate training in Gestalt psychotherapy and Attachment-Focused EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I am also a Registered Somatic Movement Therapist (RSMT), certified Yoga Dance teacher, and trained in expressive arts therapies. These practices allow me to integrate movement, creativity, and the wisdom of the body into therapy—supporting healing not only through words, but also through embodied experience.
I hold the clients I work with in the highest esteem—as powerful and complete beings with unique minds, bodies, and spirits. My work is infused with mindfulness, embodiment, and spirituality. It is an honor and privilege to walk alongside people in this work.
I look forward to working with you.
